The Ferguson Ridge Room is bathed daily by morning sunshine that complements its soft yellow décor.  For those who like to sleep in a little later, blackout linings in the blinds keep the room darkened well after dawn.  Views from the windows include downtown Joseph and the Ferguson Ridge ski area.

Artwork in this room includes a reproduction of “The Spirit of the Plains” by Australian artist Sydney Long (1897) and an original dawn-lit painting by Wallowa County plein air artist Leslie LeViner.  An antique Danish dressing mirror and painted table also make their home in this guest room.

The queen-sized Simmons Beautyrest mattress is bedecked with a Sensus 5-pound memory foam mattress topper.  We were attracted to this topper after a thoroughly comparative article in the Wall Street Journal which rated this topper best overall.  Finished with fine linens, down pillows and duvet, the bed is very restful.

A Solatube lighting system provides natural sunlight in the attached bath, so bright that guests have asked, “Where’s the light switch for the ceiling light?” A combination soaking tub/shower, pedestal sink, bidet and toilet complete this room.
